We’ve been hard at work on our end of the year projects! Our paper sculpture bugs are coming along nicely. Many children enjoyed decorating them this week:
Everyone loves practicing the folk dances and some of the older students have made beautiful country posters to go along with the dances. We have dances from Denmark, Mexico, Germany and Scotland. They researched the countries, identified and colored the flags and decorated their posters with symbols from each country.
At circle we read a book about planting gardens and learned a finger play about a rosebud growing into a flower. Our afternoon students enjoyed making paper butterflies. We attached a string and a straw so that the butterflies flapped their wings when hooked on to the tree in the play yard!
