It was so nice to see everyone at the Sunnybrook Family Night. I hope you enjoyed seeing the school and a few activities. The children did a great job making their family trees and sharing their family photos.
Have you seen our new sensory table? They children are very much enjoying it. Right now we are using sand and sand toys, but we hope to change it throughout the year.
Some books we read this week were, The Very Grouchy Ladybug, Johnny Appleseed, Red are the Apples, and The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything. We worked on our 5 Little Pumpkins poem as well. See if your child can share it with you!
Our new yoga poses are “Child’s Pose” and “Table.”
Friday students enjoyed reading If you take a Mouse to School and making their our own book entitled, If you take a T-Rex to School. As you can imagine the T-Rex was up to no good, stealing snacks and popping soccer balls. We also added some porcupine facts to our Wildlife Journals, worked on subtraction using the story Ten Sly Piranhas and enjoyed sight word Bingo using popcorn as markers.
On Thursday we will be having a fall celebration from 12-1pm for morning and afternoon students. We will be sharing some snacks, listening to a story and doing fall crafts/activities.
